Okay, so...this is what they were talking about when they said sometimes being a traveler can be stressful. I went from being pretty sure I had a job and a place to live in Lincoln Park to not really having a job and not sure I have a place to live in LP in about 2 days. Apparently the place where Leslie and I both had jobs decided to screw the company over when it came to money. I'm a traveler, money is not something I should have to stress about. Stressful not knowing if I have a job, but I know it will all work out. On an exciting note, I've been packing for Guatemala since I leave in a week and a half. I'm so excited to spend the week with Amy and the greatest professors ever! We get to hike up a volcano...what!. I think I did pretty well with packing. I tried to keep it light but have enough stuff to stay warm as well since it's the rainy season and a look at the weather website for Guatemala showed that they really weren't kidding. Pretty much 80-100% precipitation daily. I wish we had some rain here in Gville. We'll never get out of this drought.
So another thing that is somewhat stressful is packing just what you need to live for 3 months in another city. I'm trying to not pack the entire house, but I kind of need to pack the entire house.
I haven't even gotten to see Dori's new puppy yet:( I have been so excited to see her, but just haven't had the time to even call. I'm going to miss everyone here so much, especially my sweet Pollyanna Dori.
I'll keep everyone posted on the journey ahead. It's times like these I wish I could be Stella or Luna. They just lie around waiting for me to make a move. Sometimes they chase and try to kill the birds outside, but that's really their only worry, that and making sure they get enough treats when I get home.
More to come...
