Well, I have to say, the experience in Chicago hasn't been all that great to this point. The first weekend here, when Mom was visiting, her car was broken into and Laura's book bag was stolen. Then, I realized that my spare tire had been stolen and all of the computer wires had been clipped. So, not a great experience. I really like my job, so that's good. The people there are really fun and they seem to understand that a person's quality of life a slightly more important than how much money that person can make them.
This weekend has been pretty full, as most weekends are with Leslie :) Thursday night we went to the fireworks, and I don't think I'll ever go again. They were fun, but there were over 1 million people. That's a lot of people. There were a few times walking home that we actually got a little scared because of the amount of people in one area. July 4th, we were off work, which was so nice. That's the first holiday I've actually not been allowed to work!!! We went to the Field Museum which is similar to Union Terminal in Cincinnati, but Union Terminal is much better. Then we went to the Alder Planetarium. It was so cool. There was this thermal heat thing and anywhere on your body that was hot it would show up yellow, anything cool would be dark purple. We had so much fun because our crotches and armpits showed up yellow. You know it highly amused us. Last night, I was exhausted, so we stayed in and ate Skyline and watched Blood Diamond.
Saturday (today), Leslie has CPR in the am, and it's STELLA'S BIRTHDAY!!!! She's 7 today! We're going to take them on a walk and then go to Science and Industry Museum. Tonight we're going to a comedy club, then Sunday we're going to the aquarium. Very packed full. My legs hurt from walking 36 miles a day, but it's worth it because I only have to fill my gas tank up once a month.
I have been parking on the street to decrease my chances of more thefts. It seems to be working out so far. More later!
